Physical Education Guidelines

Philosphy
The Physical Education program is designed to contribute to the physical, mental, emotional and social development of all students through a wide variety of physical activities. Lifetime activities are emphasized so that all students can enjoy activities regardless of their individual strenghts or limitations.

Grading
Daily participation, attitude and dress attire will determine the students grade each quarter.
Each day is worth 10 points, 6 points for attitude and participation and 4 points for proper gym attire.

Uniform Policy
Uniform includes: Shirt, shorts or sweats, shoes and socks. Shoes must be laced all the way up and tied snugly in a bow for safety reasons.
Failure to dress for class will result in the following:
1st offense: No points given/written work in library.
2nd offense: No points given/written work in library.
3rd offense and any there after: no points given/written work in library and an after school detention.

Reasons a student may not earn all the participation points each day:
*poor effort *not following directions *unsporstmanlike conduct *misuse of eequipment *poor attitude *inappropriate or unsafe behavior

All students are to keep their uniforms in the assigned locker in the locker room and their locker should be kept locked at all times.
